BE PREPARED
There are certain things you can do to make sure your online application goes smoothly.
Before starting your application, make sure you have the following ID documents handy:
- one commencement document to confirm your birth in Australia or arrival in Australia
- one primary and two secondary documents to show the use of your identity in the community
- one picture of yourself holding a sheet of paper with your name, signature and date written on it.

MAKE A PAYMENT
Police Checks are $45 inc GST. You can make a secure credit card payment through our Eway payment gateway. Once you have made your payment, you will be able to complete the application form.
COMPLETE APPLICATION
The application can be completed entirely online via your desktop PC or smart phone. We have made completing the application form as simple as possible with info links to help you all the way. You will be prompted to upload your identity documents at this time. Uploading ID is as simple as snapping a photograph of your documents using your phone camera and uploading them to the online form.
GIVE INFORMED CONSENT
Once you have completed the online application form and uploaded your ID you will be prompted to sign electronically to give us permission to conduct your police check. Next, enter your email address, then check your inbox for an email from us. Click on the link to verify your email address and you're done!
GET YOUR CERTIFICATE
If you don't have a disclosable criminal history or the same name or details as someone who does have a history, your nationally recognised and fully verifiable certificate will be emailed to you in as little as 24 hours!*
*Some checks will take 10 working days or more if the application is flagged by the National Police Checking Service database for manual processing by police agencies.
